A red finch eating thistle seed from the feeder in our backyard
Spunky the Squirrel
I was looking out the kitchen window and noticed a squirrel up in the pear tree.
not an unusual sight to see a squirrel up in a tree...
but as I watched him a little longer I saw the most amazing thing!!!
He stood on his back legs and reached up as high as he could stretch
and with his two front paws he pulled a pear off the branch above him
which he dropped to the ground and then scurried down to eat!!!
He went back up the tree and repeated the process again!!!
This time I ran down into the garden with my camera and caught
this picture of him perched way up in my pear tree.
